LUCRF Super was established in 1978 and is governed by the Trustee of the Fund, LUCRF Pty Ltd. The Trustee acts in the best interests of all members and obtains professional independent advice to assist in achieving the Fund’s objectives.

Appointment to the Board
The procedure for appointing Directors is set out in the Fund’s Trust Deed and Rules. The General Secretary of the National Union of Workers nominates member representatives in writing. Employer representatives and Independent Directors are appointed on the recommendations of nominating committees. On appointment, and on an annual basis, all Directors must declare that they:
- Have not been convicted of dishonest conduct;
- Have not had a civil penalty issued under the governing superannuation legislation; and
- Have not been insolvent under administration.
