Established in November 2010, the LUCRF Community Partnership Trust serves as a unique opportunity for LUCRF to engage with the communities in which members live and work.
The industry first initiative was officially launched in Sydney on Friday 2nd December 2011, by Prime Minister, Hon. Julia Gillard MP, who said, “I’m pleased and proud that this Fund has always placed a high priority on giving something back to the community.”
Cawarra Women’s Refuge [1]Aboriginal [1] Corporation [1] and Foundation House [1]were then announced by the Prime Minister as the 2011 Community Partners, before her ongoing support for the initiative was affirmed, “In 2012, the circle of generosity will grow wider as the Community Partnership Trust takes its good work to Queensland,” said the Prime Minister.
The Trust forms a partnership with employers, employees and members who pledge their support through a Workplace Giving Program or a one-off contribution.
Kerry Smith, the CEO of PFD Food Services Pty Ltd, one of the employers supporting the initiative said, “The LUCRF Community Partnership Trust is a reliable resource for employers and employees to utilise when considering community involvement. We are proud to be part of this initiative.”
CEO of LUCRF Super, Greg Sword is excited about the innovative platform that the Trust provides. “Through the Community Partnership Trust, the Fund can further develop positive and sustainable relationships that extend beyond a transactional nature.”
“We hope to make a real difference in people’s lives and inspire others to do similar things as there are so many people in the community that need assistance,” said Mr Sword.
