Super

How to join

Joining LUCRF Super is simple. We are a public offer superannuation fund, which means anyone can join.

When joining LUCRF Super you will need to determine which category of membership is most appropriate for you. Generally, LUCRF Super members join through their employer, however if you are self-employed or simply don’t have an employer that contributes into your super then you can join as a LUCRF Personal Plan member. Both types of membership offer all the benefits that come with LUCRF Super.

Because LUCRF Super looks after members from their first job through to retirement, we also offer pension products. To join as a LUCRF Pension member, please refer to the 'Pension section' of this website.

To join as a LUCRF Super member:

Step 1

All you have to do is read the Super Member Guide Product Disclosure Statement and Super Member Essentials (Additional Information and Financial Services Guide) and complete and return the Member Application Form at the back of Super Member Essentials (see Related content bottom left of this page).

Step 2

If you are eligible for Choice of Fund you may wish to download a copy of our My Choice brochure (including a Notice of Compliance), see Related content.

If your employer is not currently contributing to LUCRF Super, they may need to complete an Employer Application Form. If your employer has any queries regarding the form, they can contact us at mypartner@lucrf.com.au or call us direct on 1300 130 780.

Step 3

To transfer your superannuation from another fund into LUCRF Super, read our Rollover to LUCRF Super brochure and complete the Transfer between Funds Form inside. You’ll need your member number from your old super account/s, plus a certified copy of your identification for each roll over. We’ll do the rest.

Our team of Business Development Managers are happy to visit your workplace and provide assistance.

LUCRF Super will send you details regarding your new account once we receive a contribution from your employer. Your super will be automatically invested in the Balanced (default) option if you have not made an investment choice and you will also receive the default level of one unit of Death and Total & Permanent Disablement (TPD) cover, if eligible.

NOTE: Personal Plan members are not allocated default insurance and any applications for cover will be assessed and are subject to acceptance by our Insurer.

To join as a LUCRF Personal Plan member

All you have to do is complete and return the Personal Plan Member Application Form in the back of the Super Member Essentials (Additional Information and Financial Services Guide) and provide your certified proof of identification (ID) and initial contribution to open your account.

When LUCRF Super receives your completed application, certified ID and initial contribution, an account is opened in your name and you will be sent further information about your membership, including your membership number and details regarding your account.

Your super will be automatically invested in the Balanced (default) option if you have not made an investment choice.
