
Bill has been a key figure in the Australian union movement for over 40 years. One of Bill’s highlights came with his involvement in negotiating policy that resulted in compulsory superannuation for Australians. Bill feels privileged to have worked with the unions in supporting the rights of working Australians, championing for respect, fairness and dignity for all. This service was formally recognised in 2008 when he received the nation’s highest honour, the appointment as a companion of the Order of Australia (AC).
Bill’s current appointments include serving as a Director of the Linfox Group and a Member of the Bill Hutchinson Foundation.
