Project Analyst (PMO)

Due to our ongoing growth we have a newly created role to support Project Delivery team.

The position:

Reporting to the head of Project Delivery, you will support the PMO and the implementation of changes across the enterprise to help build a strong project management capability for LUCRF Super.  You will provide support to the Head of Project Delivery and provide support and guidance to project managers in the use of project management methodology and preparation of required artefacts.  The role will have a financial element with the provision of support to project managers in project budgeting, tracking and forecasting, and uplifting project financial management capability across the project manager pool.

What you’ll be doing:


  • Provide aggregated reporting on LUCRF’s project portfolio
  • Ensure the reporting cycle follows processes and meets deadlines
  • Assist with updating project plans and ensure plans are up to date
  • Ensure all Risk/Issues/ Change Request registers are up to date and follow-up with project managers

Project Administration:

  • Provide support in PMO audits and compliance checks
  • Maintain PMO Project space, workspace, mail groups and other team information
  • Maintain the business case financial model and maintain templates, tools and methods in LUCRF’s Project Management Toolkit
  • Support the implementation of project management practices and artefacts and be the first contact point for queries and assistance
  • Organise governance and funding forums
  • Assist with the annual project pipeline planning process

Finance Management:

  • Maintain the financial management process, procedures and guides
  • Support the Project Managers to maintain the project finance workbooks to ensure they align with approved budget, treatment and timeframes
  • Ensure financial activities are completed in alignment with reporting cycles and financial management standards.
  • Facilitate month end financial process
  • Manage the procurement process
  • Prepare financial data for Portfolio reporting

The qualifications and skills you have:

  • A relevant tertiary degree with 3-5 years experience in project budgeting and financial management
  • 3-5 years experience in project support, coordination and analysis, and preparation of portfolio reporting for senior executives
  • Intermediate Excel skills for financial analysis
  • Intermediate Microsoft Project skills
  • A good understanding of financial management concepts, project management lifecycle, disciplines and governance
  • The ability to engage and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • A results/delivery focus with the ability to work independently and prioritise your own workload
  • The ability to explore problems through an analytical focus to determine the approach,  options and potential solutions
  • Sound understanding of structured project methodologies
